Purdue's 2004 Air Race Classic team
Captain Allison Martin, of Indianapolis,
and co-pilot Tina Lukas of Park Ridge, Ill., are representing
Purdue at the 2004 Air Race Classic, scheduled for June 23
to 26.
The Air Race Classic is the longest-running
all-female airplane race with roots dating back more than
70 years. The annual competition attracts women pilots from
around the world. Purdue's entrants Martin and Lukas are both
juniors majoring in aviation technology within the
School of Technology and commercial pilots.
