Purdue University / Disney Theme Parks and Resorts  College Program

The Walt Disney World College Program invites you to spend a semester living, learning and earning at the most magical place on earth -- the Walt Disney World Resort. Students are selected throughout the country and from around the world to live in a multi-cultural environment while focusing on educational and career development. This program is offered to full-time students of all majors, who are in good academic standing

What is the Disney College Program? This unique program is a paid internship that feels and functions like a semester abroad program in a world-class learning environment. While many similar internships in entertainment, hospitality, and retail are unpaid part-time positions where you rarely get a chance to apply your knowledge and training, Disney has designed a program where you learn tried and true business practices, and then take those ideas and apply them to a full-time work environment.

What if you're not interested in business? Only a few students are actual Business majors, and I can relate. I am a double-degree student earning my bachelor's degrees in Architecture and Theater Design. I admit, I was skeptical about taking much away from the College Program in terms of business strategy. However, the truth is that I use Disney's principles of business excellence in my work environments every day. When I work for the Performing Arts Center, I use the same principles of customer service and guest satisfaction that I learned in my time with the College Program. Even with my fellow students, the service mentality I picked up with Disney makes me a valuable team player and potential leader.

This is a program for any college student at any level. I have dozens of stories that justify the time I invested in the program. I worked far away from any outside influence and I could really focus on my career goals. Disney offers hundreds of classes every semester to teach the College Program students about their possibilities for a career, and not just within the Disney Company. Disney is interested in producing the successful professionals of the future

Have the oppurtunity to work at Disney World and earn college Credit.
