Introduction to Computer Technology and Applications

This course explores personal computer hardware, software, and problem solving. Topics include alternative personal computers and operating systems, end-user computing and services, and personal computing ethics. Students solve problems through hands-on experience with applications such as word processing (currently Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (currently Microsoft Excel), and presentation graphics (currently Microsoft PowerPoint). The course also surveys other personal productivity software such as database management, desktop publishing, drawing, and diagramming.
