Each camp begins with an Orientation Dinner designed to introduce camp members and their families to the program. After a cafeteria-style meal in the Ford Dining Court, campers and their famillies meet in a separate venue to review the camp program, policies, and schedules. Both camps are capped with an Awards Luncheon where campers dine with their families before adjourning to a separate location for the awards ceremony. At this event camp directors review the weeks activities and samples of student work before distributing awards to those campers who performed exceptionally well in the classroom. Dates and times for the Awards Luncheons are:
The Awards Luncehon will be held in the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom. Families and friends of campers are welcome to attend both the Orientation Dinners and Awards Luncheons. Ticket request forms for guests will be mailed to all campers who have registered. Tickets for both meals may be purchased at the camp check-in. These fees are kept separate from the normal camper fees as we don't know how many tickets campers may wish to purchase. |

Please note: The campers themselves do not need to buy tickets for either event as it is covered in their camp fees. Those who wish to attend the events without buying a meal are also welcome. Seats at the rear of the meal facilities will be provided on a "first come, first served" basis for these visitors. Students will be ready to leave the camp immediately after the Awards Luncheon, and can check out of their rooms at that time. Should campers need to check out of the camp before the Awards Luncheon concludes, they should contact Professor Maicher for his assistance in this matter.
