A Letter to all Teachers, Principles, and Guidance Counselors:

Dear Friends,

The Department of Computer Graphics at Purdue University is again inviting students from select high schools throughout the United States to participate in its 10th Annual Computer Graphics Summer Camp. The camp will be held June 22nd-27th, 2008 on the main campus of Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana.

All students interested in attending hands-on sessions in Computer Animation, 3D Solid and Surface Modeling, Web site Development, Digital Publishing, Interactive Program and Multi-Media Design, Computer Game Development, Technical Illustration, and Computer-Aided Design are encouraged to apply.

The $850 price to attend the camp includes all camp materials, housing, meals (including the Awards Luncheon), tours, activities, and transportation while at the camp. Sessions have been designed for maximum hands-on experience and excitement. Students do not need a high level of computer literacy to attend this camp, although participation in a previous computer course is encouraged.

In addition to the excellent computer sessions taught by our professors and graduate staff, students will have the opportunity to see exciting presentations by the University's Physics and Chemistry Departments, enjoy the recreational facilities located on our campus, and participate in many tours that highlight how computer graphics are used in a variety of commercial and entertainment applications.

We invite you to announce this camp to your students and faculty, and post information about how to apply to attend the camp on your school, district, or state intranet systems. Additional information and forms may be downloaded from the Camp's official Web site, as indicated below. If you have any further questions regarding student participation, please contact Professor Kellen Maicher at (765) 494-1831, or by e-mail at: maicher@purdue.edu

Thank you for your participation in this matter. We believe a wonderful opportunity again awaits all who attend the Camp this year.

Respectfully yours,

Dr. Marvin Sarapin
