Adopt A Workstation
Purpose
The Adopt a Workstation program was established to
provide a low cost opportunity for businesses to invest
in the continuous improvement of CGT's educational
facilities, and subsequently, the improvement of
CGT's product - well educated computer graphics technology graduates.
How it Works
Any business or organization can fund one or more
client workstations to be installed in CGT's
client/server network for the express purpose of
supporting undergraduate and graduate education.
Benefits to Donor
In addition to the investment made in future IS/IT
employees, the donor's corporate logo and name are
prominently displayed on the Windows desktop. This
provides corporate visibility to the hundreds of students
who will use the workstation.
Cost and Configuration
The current cost to
adopt one new CGT workstation is $4,000. This donation purchases
a department-standard workstation and operating system. CGT provides appropriate
licenses for applications and development tools.
Process
A donation is simple. Make a check payable to
"Purdue Foundation Department of Computer
Graphics Technology" and attach a letter that designates your
gift to the "CGT Adopt a Workstation" program.
Please include an electronic copy of your logo to
incorporate into the Windows desktop.
