  • The Google Story: The book I recommended reading in class is The Google Story by David A Vise and Mark Malseed. ISBN: 0-553-80457-X. It was $26 off the shelf at Barnes and Noble and $17 at Amazon. [ Link ]

  • About the Publishable Paper...: I forgot to mention one crucial fact. If you successfully publish your paper at a conference or in a journal, it is an automatic A for the course. Likely, you will not know during the semester if it is accepted, but after the semester, if it is accepted and published, regardless of the grade you earn in the class, your grade will be changed to an A. That should serve as driving incentive for each of you to strive to publish.

  • This course website is currently being updated.: Only this index page has been finished. The syllabus and weekly layout are not complete yet.

  • This course is only offered in the Spring semester: It is being offered in Spring 2006.
