Coming Soon: SIGGRAPH Portal Set to launch in August of 2007, the SIGGRAPH-Portal will be a new destination on the internet for CGT students, faculty, alumni, as well as other industry professionals. The SIGGRAPH-Portal will focus on allowing students to network. This will encompass students networking with each other on projects for their classes in addition to networking with alumni for job opportunities. Design and development started in January 2007 for the project. The system is module based to provide the ability to expand its capabilities in the future. On behalf of Purdue’s SIGGRAPH Web Team we look forward to working with alumni and having alumni interact with students through the Portal. “Our team is working hard to provide a quality product to ensure it will be around for several years,” stated Frank Garofalo, a Junior in CGT and the Purdue SIGGRAPH Web Director. The Portal will also provide tools to help track regular operations for the student organization. |
