CGT Granted Accreditation

On November 15, 2006 the NAIT Board of Accreditation reviewed the recommendations of the Purdue University, Computer Graphics Technology accreditation visiting team and voted to grant the CGT baccalaureate degree full accreditation for the period 2006-2010.  According to the Higher Learning Commission (2003), there are two types of educational accreditation: institutional and specialized. Purdue University, as an institution, is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
In addition, the CGT program has now achieved specialized accreditation by an organization that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  NAIT currently accredits 244 Baccalaureate in 55 institutions.   The College of Technology Strategic Plan called for all degree programs in the college to undergo program review or become accredited by 2007.  This accreditation process that validates the quality of the program and adds value to the CGT degree was completed by the CGT faculty and Industrial Advisory Board a year ahead of schedule. A huge thank you goes to all who contributed to the process.
