Attend all meetings scheduled by the chair of their advisory committee.
Submit a Plan of Study before their first semester is complete.
Establish an advisory committee before their first semester is complete.
Attend an IRB sponsored workshop when appropriate and complete the online training modules.
Submit to their graduate advisory committee a Directed Project/Thesis Proposal before starting on their project and at least two weeks before the advisory committee review meeting.
Directed Project/Thesis Proposal will be completed no later than the end of the semester prior to the semester in which the student intends to graduate.
Submit their Directed Project Report to their advisory committee at least two weeks before their scheduled presentation.
Adhere to the established standards as outlined in the School of Technology 's Graduate Student Handbook .
Acquire professional writing and editing support as necessary during the preparation of their research proposal and/or thesis.
Prepare a paper for publication in a refereed/trade journal or presentation at a conference in conjunction with the completion of their directed project/thesis.
Prepare a research proposal (Ph.D.)
Attend another student's defense/oral examination.
