Biography
As Associate Dean at Purdue University, Dr. Sadowski provides leadership for the School’s strategic
initiatives in undergraduate education; serves as coordinator of accrediting activities and initiatives, scholarships,
and enrollment management; and provides leadership for activities related to student services. She also serves as a senior
member of the dean’s leadership team.
Dr. Sadowski has taken an active role in developing a university wide component of Service Engagement
and Learning to expand learner-centered, interdisciplinary, and experiential opportunities for students and promote
personal growth, leadership, real-world problem solving, career development, and citizenship. She is also a member of the
Purdue Discovery Learning Task Force whose primary task is to explore futuristic technologies and strategies for teaching
excellence.
Prior to becoming an associate dean, Dr. Sadowski was a full professor at both Purdue University and
Arizona State University, and currently holds an appointment in the Computer Graphics Department. Her specialty is
Computer and Technical Graphics and she has taught a variety of courses including CAD, Web Design, Animation, and
Creative Thinking. Her research interests include enhancing visualization skills and creative thinking. She has
published over 30 papers, presented over 45 technical papers, 12 workshops, and 4 textbooks.
She has been actively involved in ASEE and the Engineering Design Graphics Division and has served
the division as Vice-Chair, Chair and Editor of the Engineering Design Graphics Journal. She has also been the technical
editor for the Engineering Design Graphic Journal. She has been attending and presenting at the ASEE Annual Conferences
and EDGD MidYear Meetings since 1984. She is also a member of the National Association of Industrial Technologists (NAIT)
and the Society for Technical Communication (STC). She received her BS from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, MA
from The Ohio State University, and Ph.D. from Purdue University. |
