Description:
Introductory course in the area of
computer graphics documentation for civil engineering and
construction related professions. Experiences focus on accepted
industry graphic standards and their technical visual applications.
The course emphasizes creation and distribution of graphics
to enable communication.
The principles of construction engineering
graphics are applied to the visualization, communication,
and graphical analysis of problems. Included is the utilization
of sketching and computer-aided design to create and analyze
computer generated geometric models. Manipulation of coordinate
systems, methods for generating selected views, graphic and
data base standards, and engineering drawing interpretation
will be covered.
