Industry Experience

  • Bechtel Corporation, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 1981-1984.   Senior Planning Engineer:  Scheduled the design and construction of a $1.6 billion coal power plant. Supervised the development of a computerized integrated planning and work-hour control system.
  • Foster Wheeler Corporation, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, 1978-1979.  Chief Planning Engineer: Managed the field planning department for the construction of a lignite power plant consisting of four 300 MW units located at the mine site in central Turkey between Afsin and Elbistan.  Senior Planning Engineer:  Scheduled the construction of a natural gas plant in Shedgum, Saudi Arabia. 
  • Badger, Inc., Ashland, Kentucky, and Texas City, Texas, 1975-1978.   Planning Engineer: Scheduled the construction of a 600-ton/day coal liquefaction plant in Kentucky. A consortium led by the US Department of Energy funded this $250M H-Coal process pilot plant.  Office/Field Engineer:  Implemented project control procedures for the construction of a chemical plant in Texas.
  • US Army,  Viet Nam and Germany,1969-1972 .  Squad Leader: Supervised military construction crews.
