The Energy Conversion and Conservation (ECC) Division invites papers for the year 2009 Annual Conference in Austin, . Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

1. ECC Curricula, Courses, and Student Projects:

bullet    Laboratory equipment and experiments
bullet    Student projects
bullet    Coop/intern programs

2. Impact of Changing Technology on ECC Education:

bulletRenewable sources
bulletEnergy storage
bulletEnergy conversion and cogeneration systems
bulletEfficiency improvement
bulletAdvanced computer applications for teaching, research, and management
bulletIndustrial and commercial ECC
bulletAerospace power and energy research and management

Papers should focus on teaching and learning.

Interested authors may submit a 300 to 500 word abstract to the ASEE Smooth Paper system:

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified of abstract acceptance by December 2008 and will be invited to submit a full paper for peer review and possible inclusion in the conference proceedings.  Full papers must be submitted by February 6, 2009.  All ASEE Divisions are now publish-to-present.  Only papers published in the conference proceedings will be presented at the conference. Published papers will be considered for the division’s best paper awards.
