Biography

Dr. Roland Guay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership and Supervision in the School of Technology at Purdue University. He is a graduate of University of Southern Maine with a BS in Industrial Technology (1970), Ball State University with an MA in Industrial Technology (1971), Purdue University with a Ph.D. in Industrial Technology (1975), and Purdue University with an MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (1986). He teaches and coordinates the SPV 384 (Leadership Process) course and the SPV 479 (Staffing Organizations) course.

Dr. Guay came to the Organizational Leadership and Supervision Department in 1985 with 12 years of faculty experience. He was a professor in the Industrial Technology Department at Purdue University for 10 years. He was a faculty member in the Industrial Technology Department at Murray State University for 2 years.

He has over 20 years of experience as a consultant to organizations regarding the design, validation, and operation of staffing systems used in hiring and promoting employees. He is currently providing consulting services to Caterpillar, Citizens Gas & Coke Utility, Cummins Engine Company, Rockwell Automation, and Wabash National Corporation.
