  • 2004: Presented a paper in 33rd International Symposium of IGIP/ASEE/IEEE in Fribourg, Switzerland. The topic was Technology Education from global perspective
  • 2003: Visited RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia to initiate the Study Abroad Program in Industrial Distribution.
  • 2002: Visited Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia to initiate the Study Abroad Program in Technology Education.

  • 2001:Presented a paper in 5th US-China Education Conference in Beijing, China. The topic was, Technology Education in 21st century-a model laboratory.

  • 2000:Visited the Bangladesh Institute of Appropriate Technology for developing curriculum materials related to appropriate technology.

  • 1999:Keynote address in 2nd UICEE (UNESCO International Conference on Engineering Education) in Auckland, New Zealand. 

  • 1997: Invited by Tamil-Nadu Agricultural University in India to provide expert help in their research on battery-powered tiller.

Industrial Experience:

  • 1992-1999: (Part-time) Designer, Advanced Insulation Concept, manufacturer of insulated doors and buildings.
  • 1979-81: Resident Mechanical Engineer: Construction Industry, supervised the maintenance of equipment and machinery for buildings and bridges construction.
  • 1977-79: Assistant Mechanical Engineer: Construction Industry, supervised the installation of 130 ton chilled-water air- conditioning system.
