a. be organized around and related directly to the research question you are developing

b. synthesize results into a summary of what is and is not known

c. identify areas of controversy in the literature

d. formulate questions that may need further research

…be presented in annotated bibliographic form. Areas required in your lit review-

a. number of articles, evidence of reaching “topic saturation”

b. quality of articles, recognized experts in selected areas, prestige of publications

c. annotation (summary of content, not the abstract) 3-5 sentences on each article with analytical synopsis

d. APA reference style

e. spelling and syntax
