CGT 450 (3 credits) The Applied Computer Graphics Professional Life Cycle attempts to identify, design, qualify, manage, create and present a series of professional practice activities relative to the existing discipline of applied computer graphics. . Activities and experiences will explore related topics within an expected life cycle for practicing CG professionals. Products of the course are focused on pre- professional, professional and post-professional environments. The course concludes with summative documentation evaluations by faculty.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
After completing this course, the student will be able to:
1. Create and manage evidence of professional development for the purpose of securing employment.
2. Develop and implement a strategy for life-long-learning.
3. Identify, define and act on opportunities that may impact their potential for private and public success.
4. Work in an organization to compile and create products in support of their professional pursuits.
5. Participate within an expanded work environment simulation typical for many professional projects.
GRADING
Grading will be based on the magnitude of accumulated Computer Graphics Enterprise (COGENT) assets. Students will be rewarded with COGENT compensation for all activities.
Final grades will be assigned according to a normalized scale relative to COGENT asset accumulations.In the event of a major campus emergency, course requirements, deadlines and grading percentages are subject to changes that may be necessitated by a revised semester calendar or other circumstances.
