Welcome Back to a new year at Purdue University and the Department of Computer Graphics !

We are looking forward to another great semester of learning and development. There have been a few changes since last semester, so please take a minuet to look through the web site and find out what has happened.....

Q & A
This is the first big change in the department. Prof. Mohlers "Legendary" Question and Answer page is now open to all students in all courses ! We are trying make an easy solution for all students to get questions answered.....all in one place...The Computer Graphic Q&A. Please use this place to ask any questions (anonomously or not) that way, everyone in the class will benifit from all the questions asked. The CG Q&A is also accessable from the CG Home page. The link is just above the hand.

New Software
We have new software in Construction Graphics Area. Some of you have probly hear of it by now, but in case you havn't, it is called Revit. This software is the first "True" conditional parametric program specifically designed for the AEC industry. This software is still in its infintile stage, but the reviews from critics around the nation agree that Revit will be one of the hotest softwares on the market in a few years.

Revit Technology Corportation and Purdue University's Department of Computer Graphics have partnered to have the software included in the new curriculm for Fall of 2000. Not only will this software be available in the labs, but every student registered at Purdue University and currenly enrolled in a CGC course will be given a full version of the software to use on their home computers..for educational uses only. The only requirement is that you have an internet connection. The new Revit software is internet based and goes out on the web to see if you are a registered user. As long as you are enrolled in a CGC course, your home software will be active, but as soon as you graduate or leave the class, your name will be removed from the database, and the Revit software will no longer be active.
